THE BIG ONE. C10 Nationals Texas 2024
Let me tell you, this Ohio boy here ain’t built for that Texas sun beating down like a hammer. But hey, the weather wasn’t the only thing steaming at the ClassicParts.com C10 Nationals presented by Chevrolet Performance at Texas this year. The trucks and the crowd were just as hot, maybe even hotter! This two-day extravaganza was a gearhead’s paradise. We’re talking close to 2,000 classic trucks, enough vendors to fill a stadium, and a swap meet that could make you lose track of time (and your wallet).
They had everything you could ask for: heart-pounding NASCAR ride-alongs, a burnout contest that would melt your tires (in a good way), precision autocross racing, and wild no-prep drag races on Friday night. And the cherry on top? They even let you take your own rig out on the Texas Motor Speedway track itself. How cool is that? There was no way you could be bored at this par-tay.
Speaking of the track, the Texas Motor Speedway was the perfect spot for this monster event. Easy access, top-notch facilities, and a parking lot bigger than Texas (well, almost), they had it all dialed in for a smooth operation.
Now, about those “hot trucks” – we weren’t kidding. Texas is a breeding ground for some of the finest C10s you’ll ever lay eyes on, and there were tons of them on display. But the love for these classics went way beyond state lines. Folks came in from nearly every state in the union, plus Canada, Mexico, and even the UK. And judging by the smiles plastered on everyone’s faces, C10 Nationals Texas was one for the record books.
